(INFO) The house on Tuchlauben likely opened in the 1970s as the 'City Kino' and is still documented under that name in a 1980 photograph. It was run by City Cinema BetriebsGmbH until 2007, when the Cineplexx group took over and has continued it as an inner-city arthouse cinema with three screens.

An arthouse cinema in the heart of Vienna's city centre, it is a member of Europa Cinemas and supported by the Vienna Film Fund.
