(INFO) Opened in 1994 as a studio venue (Filmhauskino) in the historic Spittelberg quarter, the small single-screen cinema showed ambitious arthouse programming for years. In early 2017 it had to close for financial reasons. In April 2018 the Filmcasino team took over the house, revived it as their second location and has since run it as a European-minded arthouse cinema showing original versions with subtitles.
Its operators bill it as 'Vienna's smallest arthouse' — a single auditorium with around 100 seats, a bar and 4K projection.
